I follow Aus racing on Sky radio so I haven't watched her much but I show her once and she has amazing turn off foot and able to go from a sedate pace to lightning quick without much hassle against group 1 peers. So it will be interesting seeing her in the UK and I hope she copes OK with long travel.
I'm sure she is a Superstar, but if we put it into perspective.......
There are no decent European sprinters, the last really good one was Lochsong
I can qualify this by the amount of sprinters that go from Handicaps to GP1 with relative ease. That just doesn't happen with milers or middle distance horses. I wonder if it because it's harder to handicap them?
I have no doubt BC is the best Sprinter in the world. But that's like saying LA Galaxy is the best soccer team in the USA. At best they would be a bottom half championship team.
I hope she wins. I want to give the Aussies something to cheer about. The haven't won the Ashes for a few years. Their horse racing (read betting) is a monopoly ran by bigger buffons that we have in the UK, which is saying something.
I love the Aussies. great sense of humor. They gave us Rolf Harris, Skippy & of course Kylie. Shame their beer is weaker than piss.........
