i seem to have developed a problem.

when ba is running any streaming audio gets distorted, and echos real bad. it seems the streaming slows down when ba is the focus.

if i minimise ba it stops, if i change the focus to another programme or to my browser the audio distortion stops. as soon as i maximise or change focus back to ba, the audio distortion starts again.
i have not loaded anything new, or running anything i dont normally run, while using ba. i have checked for virus's etc, would seem ok. run cc cleaner. rebooted several times. still the same.

anyone had this or know the cause?

thanks marc. i think the problem on my machine seems to be the browser.

seems to be google chrome does not like ba any more (audio bad, video is fine) why i have no idea it was fine before 3pm today, then the audio just got worse.

downloaded firefox, audio streaming (and video) and ba working fine.

maybe you should try a different browser from your current one, seems to have cured the problem on my machine; it might cure the problem on yours (touch wood).

tomorrow im gonna uninstall and then reinstall chrome as i prefer it to firefox, maybe that will "cure" it. but at least i seeem have a browser that ba gets on with. :)
once again thanks

marc,
uninstalled/reinstalled chrome. still the same.

having searched the net it seems that it is an adobe flash player problem. the latest version 11.3 is the cause.

there is something wrong with it which adobe are trying to find and fix. it does not cause a problem on all machines just some, why i do not know!

google chrome automatically updates flash player in the background, hence my machine started mucking about out of the blue as chrome updated itself without me knowing. there does not seem to be anyway to remove it and replace it with a earlier version on chrome.

on other browers such as firefox, you have to update manually or from a prompt by the brower asking if you wish to update.

if this flash problem is the reason behind your machines hiccups, then you would be best to use a different browser and Dont update flash player, until adobe fix the problem and chrome updates itself.

i cant find any info on when this repair is likely to occur. thats all i have been able to out find for now.

regard tony

Hi
Thanks for getting back to me,i reformatted my machine and reinstalled all again .took me a full day with restarts and windows updates ,to day was the first day back trading and all was working ok.i had reinstalled google chrome, hope i didnt speak too soon ,
why dont you try a roll back to a restore point to where it worked ok for you and then stop it updating by blocking it in your fire wall .
