The final had already been played against Portugal, I'm afraid. I was hoping Italy could win as I have italian ancestors, but for a final match it was an embarrassing result.
This team will be the best ever in football for many years, you may call them cheaters or think their football is annoying at same stages, but they keep the ball like no one has ever done before, and having the ball their opponents can't score. It's a simple truth, but very hard to make it happen.

Spain 2012 OR Brazil 1970
Both played 6 games...
Spain won 4 games within 90 minutes
Brazil won all 6 games
Spain nearly lost 1 game... against Portugal.
Nobody even got close to Brazil...
Therefore, for me Brazil 1970 are still the best ever...by a country mile...

The Final was Spain vs Italy not Portugal vs Spain. That semifinal was the most boring game of the european cup anyway. Both teams played catenaccio for 90 minutes. I think the world is glad that Portugal vs Spain was not the final. However Italy was playing 10 for 30 minutes, from that moment Spain controlled the game and scored 2 more goals. Chiellini left the pitch limping after 20 minutes, Cassano left the pitch limping after 45 minutes, Motta left the pitch limping on the 60th minutes when Italy had not more substitutions. De Rossi was limping for 30 minutes and so Barzaletti but they could not leave the pitch. However against portugal the spanish team was very very slow, last night they seemd to be faster then ever... Were they on drugs like in 2008 and 2010?...
