Just bought BA yesterday and this is just bad. I loaded the todays horses in guarding yesterday before bed and wanted to analyze the prices collected in the morning. The computer was frozen in the morning, had to reboot.
So I am using BA today and every 15min I notice the CPU usage is very high, up to 80% of my CPU! And so I have to close and open BA. But everytime I do this, chart data is lost. Oh dear?!
Any suggestions? I reported an issue to BA support.
High CPU usage+freeze 1.30.6
Depends what computer you have and whats running on it , i think most of us on here myself included use high end pc's with little problem at all. As for data loss if you use the export profit and loss rule , it will send the data to a file to viewed with excel so you wont lose the data recorded in the log.
Well, I have core2duo T3400 laptop and 4GB ram with SSD. And I'm a computer technician:)
Anyway, the thing is that when I start and use BA for first 10, 20min all is well, CPU usage is about 20%. But it gradually goes higher to a point when my CPU usage is 100% constantly. And in task manager BA is using like 80% of my CPU. Why??
Thanks for tip about excel file.

I think I resolved the problem. Let me explain, so someone else having this problem can try this fix.
I uninstalled BA completely, deleted registry entries and deleted everything from installation folders (program files, program data, local settings, etc).
Then I installed again .NET (latest version at this moment is 4).
It seems to be working now.
