Firstly hello everyone.

I recently purchased Bet Angel on a one month trial. I am not a gambler, I am looking at arbitraging and also back/lay for small individual profit with the aim of a little extra potential income and some brain exercise. Well I am certainly getting the brain exercise!
I have been through the forums, and also looked on Google, but I cannot find anything to help me understand why I would not want to be able to account for Betfair commissions on winnings, as surely this is crucial? If I have a back/lay in place with say £200 lay liability versus £205 payout on a back bet, then if the back wins I lose £200 on the lay liability and win £205 less commision of 5% on the back, giving me a net back win of £194.75 against £200 paid on the lay liability. Therefore the profit I have is in fact a loss after commission.

One poster said that they could see no reason why a trader would want to know about commission. Why on earth would that be the case?

As far as I can find out it is not possible to configure Bet Angel to account for commission.

Help!

Hi,

You only pay the commision on the overall winnings.

So you would be winning £5 in this case, so the commision would be 5% of the £5, not on the whole £200.

Thanks so much, now I see why commission is of no interest.
