Bangor - THE chances of Bangor passing an 8am inspection on Monday for Tuesday's all-hurdle card were on Sunday given a boost when officials found the course raceable during an afternoon check. When the inspection was scheduled on Saturday, the going was described as good to soft, part frozen and there was thepossibility of snow on Sunday, coupled with forecast night temperatures of -4C.The ground is still part frozen and snow is still a possibility on Sunday evening, but Ed Gretton, clerk of the course, said: "We have a glimmer of hope because the course was raceable by 2pm on Sunday, but the sky is clear and we're due another frost. "We may decide to inspect again on Tuesday morning." If racing does go ahead it will take place on the inner course following recent flood damage at the track.
