[SOLVED] How can I install excel on BA server edition?

I am using the BA server edition which runs very well on Windows Server 2008. I also need to use Excel which is not installed. The server has been updated to include SP2 but has no anti-virus software.

What is the easiest way to get Excel running on the BA server?

Which version of Excel should I install?

Is it safe to download files from internet onto the server, which has no anti-virus software?

edit: I have tried to install Office 2010 but the installer gives an error that I need at least Windows XP to be installed.

To install MS Office it has to be Office 2010 Pro version. For some reason the other versions won't install.
