First and foremost ,id like to say hello to all and wish you happy trading for the future.Id also like to apologise for my bad grammar and spelling pre,it can get lousy.I decieded to use the chat name flooked because thats what i am trying to understand what the hell ive gotten myself into.Im trying to stay posotive but ill give you a brief history then youll probly understand then split yer sides laughing.Im 53 yrs old totaly computer illiterate and at present new to b.a.In my favour i have a good 40 yr knowledge of horseracing.theres things ive learned over the years that will help me trade hopefully now and then for a decent profit. If we go back a while [not long]i was fed up going to bookies to put on my bets only to find the prices had shortened dramaticaly .obviously not all the time but quite frequently a decent move ie 12 to 8s 25 to 16s .Id be mad then and leave the price hoping they would go back out, but most occasions they keep moving in so i ende up angry even if they won.Anyways i play poker and a friend recommended get a computer, get betfair. So i just been backing at better odds now for 18 months on betfair. This is where it gets to the funny bit.Someone then recommends bet angel.OMG its like flookin shakespere,i can read it but undestand it now thats another story."These lies are like the mountain that begets them, open, gross, talable ,why thy clay branied guts, thy knotty pated fool. WTF I thought at school. scalping triggerset off batch ,dutching CRIKEY .Would have thought all this termonology wud been explained in some sort of index but i not found it yet.Im pleading for help ,whats the best way forward from here.Id really like to try and get into this but browsing through that manual, wow,i gotta lot to learn, can an old dog learn new tricks?realy grateful for any advice im willing to learn as i cant work after getting injured id be over the moon at any sort of minor profit .half a loaf better than no loaf.Nah seriously 100 quid a week in a.years time wud be enough for me.Thanks ya"ll anyways catch yers on the forums.

First question is are you making a profit by simply backing selected runners, if so, keep doing that. I would suggest that you can google any terms that you do not understand, that is how I have found out about ones I do not understand. For instance I am mostly dutching, whichis to back multiple runners in one race, you get a lower profit per race, but a higher percentage success rate. If you have a success rate greater than 90% then you can accept a dutch witha predicted profit of 10-12% or higher. A simplification obviously. I would suggest that you find out what any one term means, investigate whether you think you can see a method to make profit on that. If you just play around on different methods, you could lose a lot of money quickly.

great nicrag its a good start, thats my first step googling all the settings.I think ill approach this methodicaly by learning one little bit at a time and hammering it into my potato brain . After browsing i think properly understanding the wom and the laddering might be a good start thanks for your time and feedback, flooked.

I strongly suggest you sign up to Betangel and take the beginners online course. As part of this you get a manual which is very useful to keep to hand(i found this invaluable).Next thing change your thinking from Gambler to trader!Good luck
