I personally see it as a good thing. The industry needs to consolidate IMO, yes it isn't nice for those who lose their jobs etc but for the industry as a whole I think it is what is needed.
A lot of people in the sport seem to think racing should be a special case and be immune to factors affecting just about every other industry/business.
Just because someone wants to own, train or ride doesn't mean they have a right to do so and make a living from it, plenty seem to think otherwise though.
