For any of you on the western side of the UK, RTE are broadcasting on analogue still, and televise a few races from Galway all week.

You might be able to pick up the signal overflow depending on your area. I checked the time difference between analogue and digital with 2 tv's side by side before racing and during it yesterday and it's about 5-6 seconds, it was good enough for me to make a few quid in running anyway :)

You'll know you have the Irish analogue when there's a "X 24 October" in the bottom right of the screen, that's when Irish analogue is turned off.

I like the Galway festival, always seem to pull something out of it for some reason.

Im sitting in an internet cafe in galway city now,, great buzzz ,, the bookies are all packed ,and havent heard frankel mentioned once,im off work on friday so looking forward to being there at the track ,drinking big black pints ... :D and hopefully getting a winner or two ..black pints :D BLACK PINTS :D
