Never seen anything like this before! Happened just after ATR talked to the trainer who did NOT talk up its chances!

Happened a few minutes before start but looks more like an IR move

I looked at late money recently and the results showed there was an equal number of winners whether the late money forced a drift or a steam. I widened it again in a new study but have used slightly different variables. I'll will let the forum know if I find anything interesting.

Last of 10.
"Took keen hold, led 3f, ridden and weakened 3f out, tailed off" Opened 14-1, touched 25-1, SP 12-1.

If you look at that graph there's a spike of 500, maybe someone layed it in error/fat finger then chased their money back to avoid any nasty liabilities.

Something similar just happened in the 1900 with Dusty Storm. Price moved 10+ ticks in absolutely no time at all in the dying seconds before the off, the horse was beaten in a photo.

Yeah, I got really stung on that. A massive move just before the off. That's more than halved my day.

The speed of the move was what struck me, it seemed to happen so fast I thought most of it must have been automated.

I was unable to exit, everytime I pushed the order out to close it the price just jumped in front of me.
