Hi , i have studied the price movements and SPs of 1000 favs using the Sporting Life website. eg opened 5/2 touched 3/1 SP 9/4.
The results show that of these randomly selected 1000 , 672 favs finished at / or below their opening show price. I was wondering if this info is of any use in trading.
From experience i would suggest the bookies on course open their books at the 7/10 minutes from off time point and wonder if this could be correlated to BF price moves ?
The info suggested therefore 2/3 of horses end up the same or below their price approx 10 mins out and 1/3 drift.
Any advice / comments appreciated.
Thanks

I think you would also have to examine the overround on the book as well so you can take account for the re-shaping of the book before the off.
