Well if you like numbers..here's one I taught my 7 year old boy last week that has now become his party trick...
The 'trick' is to square any number in the 50's in his head...not bad for a seven year old!
He ask's his audience to choose a number and then square it using the calculator on their phone whilst he works it out in his head..which he does to their astonishment!
here how he does it..lets choose 56 as an example..(the square is 3136)..
You add the second digit (6) to 25 = 31
Then square the second digit (6 * 6) = 36
Then add the two digits together 3136
53 would be 25+3 = 28
3 * 3 = 09
