Panic moment - Minus balance

I had a bit of a stressful moment the other day when I was trying to trade out & BetAngel appeared to not let me do it. It wouldn't let me trade out for about 5 seconds.

I thought it might be my internet connection, but then I realised that my account had a minus balance. See attachment. Then the balance went right backup & let me trade out.

Has anyone experienced this or know how I can avoid it again?

Betfair have a very curious settlement process where they settle one type of bet first then another. So I suspect that may have caused this.

Did you close any of your pre-off trades in-play in the previous race? If so, if there was a Rule 4 it can leave you in a position where you are unable to close your current trade, even for a guaranteed profit!

It's a bug that's been present in Betfair's software for years...
