Hi all,

I have created a macro to do some trading in Excel, however now I want to use my Excel spreadsheet with Guardian.

I have two questions:

How can I specify when Guardian should move to the next market?

How can I run my macro every time Guardian moves to a new market.

Thanks for your help.

You can't control Guardian from the spreadsheet.

But you can set Guardian to switch to the next market automatically a set number of seconds before the off.

I use this for horse racing. I load up a single spreadsheet in the main application Excel tab (not Guardian) then use Guardian to switch 5 mins before the off.

All that is needed then is to keep an eye on any delayed races and manage or remove them from Guardian.

Wouldn't it be great though; if we could have some element of control of Guardian from Excel! The excel feature is extremely powerful already and the best on the market, but to be able to control things like Guardian, data requests etc would kick the competitions arse! :)

Thanks for your help.

Let's say I have Guardian loading up a new market 15 mins before the off, is there any way to restart running my macro when Guardian has switched to the next market?

You could use the countdown timer to start the macro say when it hit 14:00:00

I use auto-binding in guardian and run the VBA code in excel run each time one of the betfair fields changes. this way, you can keep track of the current market name for example and reset your code (or trigger some other action) if your market changes.
