I've probably two simple questions about BetAngel.

1) Somehow my Offset bet gets deleted when an event starts. Can't find the logic about it, but I think I'm doing something wrong. Probably in the global settings. I'm figuring out BetAngel in practice mode for the coming weeks.

(Event log:

15-10-2012 17:48:55: € 2 Back bet placed on Under 2.5 Goals at 1.8. Fully matched at 1.8. Ref: 10008 ( Offsetting by 3 ticks with greening. )
15-10-2012 17:48:55: € 2.03 Lay bet placed on Under 2.5 Goals at 1.77. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 10009 [NOTE: this bet is in 'unmatched bets'-tab until match starts]
15-10-2012 18:00:13: Guardian has detected that the market is in-play
15-10-2012 18:00:13: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
15-10-2012 18:00:28: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended)

2) If I want to create an Excel-sheet all by myself I've to tell Excel that a command like 'BACK' means backing in Betfair. Where can I find info about that part? I know how to load data in a selfmade sheet, but how do I 'program' the sheet to execute that type of command.

1) You cannot "keep bets" in the under 2.5 goal market. This is Betfairs' rules. You will need to re -submit the bet to go in play. You could probably automate this.

2) Read the user manual or watch some of the videos.

1) Thanks. Didn't know that.

2) I've read the manual and saw the videos. None of it tells me how to do it. In the provided sheets it works ofcourse, but how can I make a file/sheet of my own?

Let's say I create a new excel file called 'My sheet' and it connects with BetAngel (cell A1) and it loads the particular data into it. If I type 'BACK' in any kind of cell it doesn't do anything (ofcourse). How can I tell this file that it has to 'BACK' in Betfair.

In other words: is there any way I can get rid of the excel files provided by BetAngel (as template) and use my own?

I filled up my car with petrol once instead of diesel. It didn't run.

Are we on a different wavelength?

I've never had any issues "keeping bets" on under 2.5 markets

I think the OP just needs to submit a KEEP_ALL global instruction. Remember you need to be in an API mode (mode 0 or 13) to use Betfair bet persistence such as KEEP or TAKE SP.

You do not have to use the supplied Bet Angel templates. However, the cell references will not change even if you use a blank spreadsheet.

Well, same problem with a 'Match Odds' market now. Once the event goes in play the 'Unmatched Bet' is gone. I'm in API-mode. It doesn't matter I'm in practice mode?

(Event log:

15-10-2012 17:51:14: € 2 Back bet placed on The Draw at 4.2. Fully matched at 4.2. Ref: 10010 ( Offsetting by 5 ticks with greening. Stop at 15 ticks. Place stop at 20 ticks. )
15-10-2012 17:51:14: € 2.18 Lay bet placed on The Draw at 3.85. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 10011

I think you provided the correct answer :) thanks! After placing the bet and offset bet I commanded 'KEEP_ALL' and the bet stays.
