Hi,

I'm tracking a lot of horse markets at the same time (around 100). I've noticed that sometimes, the Bet Angel (x) sheet doesn't get updated with 'In-Play'/'Suspended' in cell 1,8.

I'd been using this flag to check to see whether it was ok to trade or not but as it doesn't always get set, my system will sometimes make a trade and it gets bounced if the market is actually suspended (temporarily or because the event is over) with an error notice in the horse/report field.

That's ok - I can add in a check using the time field as well, but I'm not sure if this is just a latency thing or something I can tweek in the Bet Angel refresh settings?

I'm currently using (in BA):
Matched/Unmatched: 200ms
Full Market Depth: 1min
Profit&Loss: 1min
Traded volume: 1min
Data requests limited to 15/sec.

and in Guardian, a refresh interval of 200ms.

With the data request limit, I should refresh every page every 6 seconds or so, but it's actually more like 20. But even with pages refreshing more slowly (maybe my 'net connection is running a bit slow), I'd still expect to get the 'Suspended' or 'in-play' flag being set.

But some races never get this flag set - so does Guardian sometimes 'miss' this notification?

Has anyone got any suggestions on tweeking the settings? I don't care about Volume or P&L data, just current odds, my current unmatched/matched stats and the race status.

Thanks for any advice.

try setting the advance settings refresh , tick the box then put in say 600 before and 600 after this will ensure guardian only checks races from 10 minutes before to 10 mins after the off time. this will stop it cycling through all the markets which will take ages if youve added 100+ markets.

Are you doing this in Excel?

Hi Legendz,

Thanks for the reply. That's a great idea, I hadn't thought of that. I'm a complete stats freak and so the more markets I can track the happier I am. Using this, it should certainly help me with the 100+ events. Thanks again.

Hi Shamrock,

Yup - I cycle through the pages, ignoring any 'suspended' or 'in-play'. It's not a big problem, I just wondered if this was a bug or a feature. Hopefully Legendz suggestion will improve BAs performance.
