Volatility

I have been looking on and off at pre race trading and now I have more time to devote to it I have decided to go on Peter's masterclass and hopefully learn a lot more. Looking at the markets this week they seem very volatile. Is that just to do with the standard of racing or the time of year or is there generally more volatility in the markets now? Any enlightened answers would be gratefully received.
The general guide is less liquidity = more volatility.
there is not doubt over the past 2 years (and possibly longer) the racing markets have been in decline. There may be figures that dispute this. But the "soldiers" who work on the racing markets day in day out will agree i'm sure.
Good luck with your journey, getting some training with PW will put you on the right path for sure.
