Like thousands of others before me I suspect. I am trying to reinvent the wheel, using practice mode, to test various auto scalping rule set permutations (universally unsuccessfully so far.)

I have noticed that sometimes the strategy fails in a particular race simply because despite using "offset bet with stop" the stop part is not present on the unmatched bet ticket. I have checked the rules to make sure it says offset bet with stop. I realise I could close it manually but thats not really the point.

I have three questions.

1.) Is this a known bug? It only happens once in a while.
2.) Or, am I doing something wrong?
3.) And, how does BA know to omit the stop just when the selection is about to move 10 pips against me?

Firstly, can you prove the stop was applied?

Do you have a screen shot or log entry that identifies this?

Or are you saying the market moved against you in play and the stop did not trigger?

In play the price can easily leap over your stop trigger (a move from 5.0 to 2.0 for example when your stop is 3.0) and thus the stop will not fire.

You seem to misunderstand.

The offset bet was missing the stop instruction. When it happens I can see the offset order in the unmatched bet area and the section that should say "Auto close at...." is not present. And the order doesn't fill when the price hits what would have been the stop price.

It doesn't do it every time, the vast majority do have the stop and behave properly - but a small number don't.

I don't have a screenshot but if you don't accept my word why would you believe a screenshot? I could copy any old unmatched bet to "prove" what I say.

Why are people quick to get upset on this forum?

I am not disbelieving what you say? Where do I say that?

I am trying to help.

However, you are not willing to listen to any help so I wish you good luck in solving your issue.
