Explanation Please
Please could someone explain in laymans words what does 'offset with greening' do that an 'offset' does not and also after that what is 'offset with greening and then stop'. I am in practice mode still trying a bot on upto six horses in each race. I think I know the answer but just wanted some clarity if you could please anyone.
If you put on an offset bet (Lets say a BACK bet of 3 ticks). When the bet is matched it will submit a LAY BET 3 ticks lower than the BACK bet, visa versa if you LAY first. If you back stake is the same amount as your LAY.
"With Greening" means that the LAY stake will be less to reflect your profit.
With STOP means if the trade goes against you it will attempt to close the trade however many ticks you choose. This is suicide in play.
I think it explains it better in the manual

To provide a Green situation across all the selections...
You'll have to get up damn early to catch me out...

Simple mathematics for 'offset with Greening'.rogerlisa wrote:Please could someone explain in laymans words what does 'offset with greening' do
Horse A - say BACK Bet 4.3 for £10 (potential profit £33.00)
To calculate (greening) profit across all selections using 3 tick offset (3 prices lower than back bet).
LAY @ 4.0 for (10 x 4.3 / 4.0) £10.75 (liability £32.25)
GREEN of £0.75 (less commission)
SUMMARY
Lay stake = Original Stake multiplied by Back price divided by Lay price
