My mentor taught me a few things about horses using small stakes, but did not work cause that little detail about the software. As you can see after your advice it made a big difference. I hope I can return the favor one day .. Thank you..

Those are some phenomenal profits you pulled off by scalping (1 tick) using small stakes (£10 I assume) , especially compared to your loses.

When I experimented using one tick offset with £10 I could never manage to pull off more than £1 green on average. On a few occasions I went for 2 - 3 ticks and managed to pull out an extra 50p or so in green. After that I went for more ticks - which essentially changed styles completely and turned into swing trading. I got a slightly larger profit, but also accumulated larger loss :) because I would leave the trade open just to see if the price would come back in the green.

Either ways I failed (and still) to keep my loses down in comparison to the profits, and so looking at your results it isn't the size of profits that catches my eye, but the way you've managed to retain an excellent control on your loses in comparison to the profits.

Well done! I gotta say.

Thank you switesh. My liability is £50 and I take or lose 1 tick at time. The average is between 5-10 scalps per race. I am trying to replicate what my mentor taught me. She uses higher stakes and different strategys, luckily she showed me how to use small stakes on these markets without facing big losses. I had to use the software to pull her teaching off, but something was not working like I wished.I had moments of panic until Euler advised me how to set the software @ 16.12 yesterday and from 16.20 everything worked perfectly...I have now need 6-12 months of trading to see If I can move forward...

no disrespect but that is a very small sample size.

but if you can repeat it most days for several months then you are obviously on a right track.

Am I? This post was to thank Euler..I had a problem with the software that was firing bets without my command and he told me how to fix it..Is that the conclusion you are taling about? My approach in this post was very humble. ....I Never acclaimed to have found the holy grail or to have cracked the horse trading. .. I have just said what my settings, my liability and what is my discipline about trading.....I have been trading football in partenership for years now so If I may have suggested some conclusions I may have some experience to do so....But if i did it was NOT intentional and nothing to do what this post was about..

Hi giulio2010

As switesh says, that's a nice ratio of profits to losses! Who was your mentor if you don't mind me asking?
