Hello,
I use BA for inrunning horses and due to my strategy and the inrunning volatility I need to see as many ladders and rows as possible without having to scroll. Even if I set the ladders to the max (10) I can only see 3 ladders on my screen simultaneously and have to scroll back and forth to see the rest. Same with the rows. Ideally you should see as many ticks as possible to adequately react to the high volatility inrunning and BA just doesn`t display enough for that imo. And as you all know every second counts inrunning and if you have to scroll alot u just don`t have any chance. Does anyone know the maximum number of ladders that can be seen on the screen simultaneously (without scrolling) and what I need to do to achieve that. Same with the rows. Maybe there are files that can be edited accordingly to reduce the font size and therefore save screen space? Any help would be very much appreciated.

get a 30" monitor (2560 x 1600) and maybe swivel it into portrait mode?
or if you're feeling flush get 3!!

Have you extended the display to the TV or is the display simply a replica of what you are seeing on your laptop screen?

it's about the resolution, i.e. the number of pixels, not the size of monitor/tv.dikenia wrote:the max resolution on my laptop is 1440x990...but it still only displays 3 ladders on the 42 inch TV....am i doing something wrong?
TVs have lower resolution than monitors generally (proportionally to their size) because they are designed to be viewed at a longer distance.

100% Correct, say for arguments sake you can only output 100 x 100 pixels or have a device that can only display 100 x 100 pixels, if you have a 14" screen you will get exactly the same information displayed as if you use a projector that covers the entire wall of your room. All it will do is stretch the available 100 x 100 pixels out over the wall.superfrank wrote:it's about the resolution, i.e. the number of pixels, not the size of monitor/tv.
I went down this route for the exact reasons you want to do it, i.e. no scrolling and see the market from 1.01 to 1000.0 for as many runners pretty much as I wanted:
download/file.php?id=1523&mode=view
I actually have used 4 screens in the past, with each one displaying at 2048 x 1152. Thus giving a total screen resolution of 9,437,184

As well as the screens, I had to also spend a good bit more money on purchasing a new PC in order for it to be able to cope with such a high resolution and such large amounts of data being displayed/changing so fast as you get in an inrunning market.
Something is not quite right here
there must be some setting or other he is missing.
i am currently using a 36 inch 1080p HD tv instead of a monitor and there is absolutely no problem with displaying 8 ladders.
so it's not a resolution problem in this case, as any pc / monitor would go higher than a hdtv would.

1080p means a min resolution of 1920 × 1080 but some better TVs will be higher (and still be called 1080p).
my main monitor is 2560 x 1600 - i just checked and the max on that is 7 ladders so you must have a higher resolution than me to get 8...
edit: that's with the trading profit column displaying for me so i guess it might just get 8 without that on.
