I was trying this days different connection modes and I saw that 1 no full api it is faster for me, about 20ms more.

Is this normal? Why the full api it is slower? will the placed bets be 20ms faster or that doesn't change whatever connection mode we use?

Also, the 0 full api mode, lower calls, 1 uses about 10/12 in default settings 500ms refresh, and 0 about 8 9

Anyone knows anything more interesting about this and a more deep knoledge? All of the offered in the manual and other threads in the forum doesn't say much at all.

Let me ask you a question.
Why do you need to be so quick? If your trading "on the edge" and it's that important to get in the market I suggest you going to lose. There are so many others with way quicker set ups. Having a considered entry into the market is a better option.

Look at Paul Scholes. He is 56 years old and has dodgy knees. Yet watch him play, he has more time than anyone else on the pitch. That's because his experience and brain works quicker than all the 20 year old opponents legs can.

If your automating in play, that's where a speed advantage can be vital. But again, it's tough to get. Don't get hung up on speed. Your reaction to press a button is the weak link, not the connection speed.

You're absolutely right Mugs, more speed just makes more noise in my opinion.

I've pulled back my settings to slow things down an consolidate the data a bit.

I don't need to see every price tick, individual ticks can be very unnerving and too much data can cause sensory overload. This game is tough enough without dazzling yourself unneccessarily.

Of course, if you've got a bot processing it all for you thats a different matter altogether.
