Hi,

I recently went to green up under the 'one click' screen and after ticking the box it showed my net position was $1.83 in the red half way through in-play. I left it ticked and by the time it got to the finishing post it had changed to $5.08 in the green.
Obviously I accepted it but it has left me wondering if this is a minor software bug or is it a matter of 'just hold off until you get a better price'! I understand the effect of greening, ie. the greening figure increases as the lay price drops but this has me baffled. Please note I'm not complaining

Not sure im following you really :?

halfway through the race you were in a losing position and by the end a winning one :D .

not sure why you think that's a software glitch,
but may have misunderstood.

That could be a part matched bet with the remainder left as an order. You may find it was matched at a better price than the one you asked for hence the improved profit. I can't be certain of this but I have seen a similar thing myself.

Thanks Freddy and JG.
I'll experiment with this and see what other 'refunds' I can drag out.

It wasn't clear from what you said if you clicked to red up at -1.83 ?.

But If you did then it's what Jolly Green said, it happens all the time in-play due to the fast changing odds.

you either don't get matched or get matched at better odds, so it quite usual to have to try a few times to get the profit / loss equalised properly.
