History repet it's self, a manager of chelsea who can not manage a team for 365 days a year. It's obviously Abramovich fault and all the people involved in the politics of chelsea and their transfers campaign. Di Matteo had predicted a decline in defense and midfield, but could not decide who to pick this year. Chelsea is now looking to sign Pep. Guardiola. Now if I were in his position why would I want coach a team that at the first failure would fire me, ruining my track record of success?. Do not forget that Pep. Guardiola had not won every years with Barcelona. And if you fail two consecutive years, what would happen? He is not the type of man that chooce money over e serious project.
What about Benitez then? It's a decision without logic. A simple overestimated coach. He almost sent liverpool bankruptcy and it was kicked from Inter-Milan cause he hated all mourinho pupils and asked Inter FC for the transfer of all the players who had the good fortune playing with Mourinho . Basically a crazy fanatic. In fact, his contract lasted 6 months. It does not coach a high level team from 2010 ..Chelsea if had a hope to sign Pep.Guardiola in the end of the season should have not fired Di matteo. A good transfers campaign in january ( good defenders and Midfilds) would have done for Chelsea.

PeP Guardiola or Benitez?
I have to agree with everything said there. I wouldnt be surprised Guardiola didn't end up in Munich next year. Chelsea would be a strange move for him given that it is the complete antithesis of Barcelona.
I think Rednapp would have been a better choice short term than Benitez to lift the players. Whoever comes in wont have hardly any time on the training ground with the players with so many fixtures coming up so really they need someone good at man management rather than a technician (who plays boring football anyway which Abramovic doesn't want and has spent a lot on more creative players last summer.)
Most Chelsea fans dispise Benitez anyway!

It looks all but certain that benitez will be the new manager.
I doubt he would fly half way across the world for talks he could hold over a telephone.
There have been previous conversations with Roman and Rafa so both will be aware of each others stumbling blocks already so surley that would have been discussed before rafa booked the flight.
Add to that Roman looks like a mug for spending 50m on torres and there is likely only one person who can put that right and get the best out of the him
The bookies are currently offering on average 1.17 which is alot lower than the usual price difference with betfair
might be worth backing now before the price shoots down

Abramovic is his own worst enemy.
What world class manager is going to come to Chelsea when his footballing decisions will be overruled by an oil baron and when he can win the FA Cup and the Champions League in May and be fired in November!?!
I've no doubt Chelsea will get Rafa if they want him, but given that he didn't exactly set Anfield alight (the CL victory aside), I doubt Fergie or Mancini will be too troubled by that prospect...

The bookmakers also thinks that whoever take over will make chelsea to qualify...Perhaps they forget that Shaktar is already qualified and even if they beat Nordsj 10-0 won't be enough...
A miracle worth 10/1 not 3.3
What a cracking value to lay chelsea...

Abramovich is a Grade A tosser
He buys the likes of Oscar and Hazard because he wants more expansive football, then replaces RDM with an horrendously negative coach in Benitez. The only positive I can find, is that Benitez seemed to get the best out of Torres, so there may have been some thinking behind that

He is a total Despot, can you imagine working for him, "my way or the highway" agree with Le Tiss a complete plank of the 1st order. He might have the money but the "hire and fire" attitude that he adopts is ridiculous.
They talk about Raffa being a success manager - How long did he last at Inter - 6 months
I don't buy the getting Torres scoring again either, Torres appears to be shot and IMHO will not return to his former glory whilst playing at Chelsea, a move back to Spain in January perhaps?

Can't see guardiola taking the chelski job, I feel he has more pride than that... di Mateo has done an amazing job and chelski maybe like liverpool are in a changing phrase....torres looks like he has had enough and wants a long holiday, benitez may last to christmas...

Benitez won in 6 years at liverpool the same Titles that Di Matteo won at Chelsea in 4 months of work. Abravomich was just waiting for the right time to send him home since june 2012. In fact, his dismissal does not make sense whatsofever. Chelsea is still running for the title, is not definitely out of the champions league, and in the case of elimination may be the favorite to win the europe league. If until now we have been surprised on some Abramovich decisions, this latest one is certainly the most scandalous of all. Take Benitez is choice without any logical sense. It 's coach of little value. He does not build good relationships with the senators team and he openly hates all Mourihno supportes. Lampard and Terry will now big problems to work with him.
Let's not forget though that, all those who took the leadership of chelsea in the middle of the season have had good results, but I seriously doubt that Benitez could do better then Di matteo.
Di Matteo has suffered a sacrosanct injustice, he should have led Chelsea in the World Cup for clubs in december, in recognition of his miracle in the champions league 2012.
Benitez, in the other hand, for the second time in his career is to play a semi-final of the World Cup for clubs without merit...Inter Milan and Chelsea 2010, 2012..
He spend hours on eating and wait to pick up gold without doing anything...what a lucky man..
At least I hope that Chelsea fans will launch some kind of form of protest to this insane decision by the club.
Good luck Chelsea.
