probably beacuse its a simulation?
i would doubt if any real calls are made to betfair; ie place a back bet, no real call is made to betfair, ba somehow decides if its matched etc. therefore nothing to lag/que up etc, just thin air. just my assumption.

Many thanks 75, the thing is i just turned up the data requets tab to 25 it started to run nicely but there was a warning about charges, now this is so unfair, i cant trade sleepy price movements, i have it at 20 now its not bad but could be better

Personally i think this may be an API problem, most times i just want to withdraw all the cash and close all dealings with Betfair.

you could try to reduce the calls of some things - for instance lower the number of calls for full market depth - just play around with the calls as long as the total is below 20 (stick at 19 and you should be well in) you shouild be ok and be able to find a setting that suits you

The only difference you get in local versus API is less calls. If you want to test how many calls your full API version is making push the 'limit data requests from Betfair' number to a very high number and see what happens by monitoring the data usage number on the bottom of the application . Bet Angel buffers calls that exceed your limit to prevent Betfair from charging you. Once you know that number you can trim unneeded calls.
