With a bit of luck should be able to find a decent race in that lot, but lots of clashing on the card today, especially as nearly all of it is over jumps.
Boxing day - 80 races today!
How does the volume today compare with Boxing Day in previous years?
It seems incredibly low. There have been a couple of races I've noticed where less than £200K had been matched pre-off. Until one of the races went in-play, I assumed that it had been delayed, so low was the volume!

Luckily the end is in sight , been a hectic day. No idea how much I'm up so far haven't had chance to check. Reckon the courses deserve a bit of praise today with almost all races going off very close to time, makes you kinda wonder why they manage to cock up so much during other meetings.
4 races going off at the same time at 3.30pm. Difficult keeping track of the races especially with a hangover. Power quality races. I bet most decent horses are on boxing day hunt. Still rather have lot more races than not and it was good that not many were abandoned given poor weather.
I didn't particulary enjoy today TBH. It's not my favourite Bank Holiday, prefer the summer meetings. But usually do well on boxing day, usually. Bit of a non event for me this year. Got a decent result on the big race but that was about it. Looking forward to Cheltenham.

In my opinion, I dont think bookies get involved in betfair. They were making money well before bf happened so why would they change their business model amd pay someone 60%?
well today I tried the taste them all strategy. Traded 71 out of 78. I do not count the last 2 at Wolverhampton. The liquidity on some races was really poor but overall very scalping with quite big in-running gaps as well. Lots of lay the field opportunities. Managed to pull a decent result which is bigger than the biggest exposure/liability I had. Of course the few big races that we had do not count.
I took a quick scan across this versus last year on BF and overall volumes were 20% lower on a average race than last year. Not sure what to read into that.
Likely to be a few errors in data as it only exports at post time on a race that I am participating in. But it's a good rough measure.
