Been busy trading pre-off on the Manchester Derby. Somebody just put in a £115k order on City.

Very good game...a draw would have been the fair result...
I can't think how Joe Hart is England 1st choice...Mistery or out of options?

City could afford any goalkeeper in the world. There is a reason they employ Hart! ;)

The stats say something completely different.

Manchester United 3 shots on goal, 1 miss-hit and 2 deflections as I recall.

Manchester City should have won.

I'm sure there was no skill involved in United's victory, and it was due to pure dumb luck. Putting three away against City at the Etihad is as easy as falling off a log!

Incredibly, if United win the Premiership this season, there will still be people who ascribe it to luck and come out with the same tired lines as they have been coming out with for years about United's glory days being over...

By looking at the stats 1st, it also led me to initially think that Man city should have won the game but looking at the big picture, Man city stats were similar in other games, where the city was early down 1 - 2 goals but struggle to recover despite playing better after being down. It's the same reason why Man city scored only three points in champions League despite having had some good performances in attack which have not not been balanced by good performances in defense. Man utd in other hand went under-pressure against weaker and equal opponents many times this season early in the game and sometimes for 60-70 minutes, but the attack had scored more goals then the defence conceeded. If we look at the stats of Man utd this season, we find that their stats are extremely efficient in attack. Van persie and Fernandez are the major reasons for this efficiency. In premier league now there is a significant difference between Man utd and other big names and if Chelsea, Man City and other do not improve the defense in January I think Man utd will have easy life until the end of the season. It's obviously different in the Champions league, where if you conceed so many goals, you get knock out in the 1st round. Man utd should also have a look at the January window if they really want to keep their hopes for the champions league...

Man United are brilliant in attack, but useless in defense.

As for City, having possession is great, but only if there's an end product. You need to have good finishers, which Man U have in Rooney, Wellbeck, Chicarito and Van Person.

Mancini got it wrong from the start, Balotelli is a joke of a player and why Mancini persists with him I do not know. He is not a team player and thinks he is much better than he actually is.

He should have started with Tevez and it may have been a different story, having said that United were IMHO the better side throughout and deserved the win.

I can see Man City failing to win anything this season and Mancini will be fired in the summer 8-)

1 Man Utd 19 20 46
2 Man City 19 18 39

Beautiful! :D

If we win the Premiership this time, no-one can say we bought it, and the 'Man United's glory days are over' naysayers will have to eat humble pie yet again!

Big drift on United ahead of their away match to Wigan today.

I wonder whether the drift was due to traders expecting Wigan to score first, given how many times United have conceded the first goal this season.
