We finally decided to post a reply ourselves. We try to distance ourselves from such controversy but there will always be non-believers. To quote from the blog, "the main reason we started the blog was to show that profits similar to horse racing were possible with soccer trading. Whether anyone believes our posts or not is certainly not going to make any difference to our profit and loss statement." We also prepared a new article called "To believe or not to believe" detailing why you need to believe to achieve results that are better than others.
The 100K challenge is actually over and we have now started a 1 million general betting exchange challenge with the new year. Anyone interested can follow the results at psychoff.blogspot.com.

Hi Psychoff,

Congratulations on achieving your target.I am trading more & more on the 'Soccer' markets & am finding lots of different strategies to use.
If there is one thing to take from your blog it's not to panic after a couple of big losses but to carry on with your plans confident that in the long run the profit will come.

Good luck with your next challenge

In never ceases to amaze me why you would want to take a negative view on people sharing their trading experiences.

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with all aspects of every blog then I use it as a learning tool, and take their experiences and use it in a positive way.

Also people looking for constant videos can only learn so much by it. If I showed you a 3hour video of Michael Phelps swimming and you have only ever swam a maximum of 200meters why would you expect to improve dramatically on your next venture to the pool? Bottom line is that you will have to get constantly wet and work hard at it to achieve meaningful results.

For pre-event (race) trading then it is the market where you focus must lie. What is it doing? what do you expect to happen? (in the next 30, 60, 180 & 300 seconds), which selection you will trade and why? On what side of the book will you go? What will you do if the move doesn't happen/go against you? When will you exit (upside or downside). The most successful traders have a plan before they enter a trade and are literally making many decisions before, during and after a trade. No video I know will give you all of this, except perhaps one you have recorded yourself and used as self analysis.

Video's that are good but will still never replace your own experiences can be found here (betangel TV), Jimmakos.com and Adapt and Survive (blog).

For in-play markets what can a video teach you unless you are displaying trading with the event itself. To be successful in-play you must have an edge and be able to read the event and read the likely market reactions to the action occurring in an event. Again as pre-race trading you will need a strategy and the decision making process is constant.

So be pleased that the guys are taking time out to share their experiences and use it as a driver for you to be more profitable in your trading.

If you want to excel you will need to examine and criticise yourself and not others. The following is winning behaviour and comes directly from the book “Think like a Winner – Yehuda Shinar” -and for those ‘realists’ and ‘pessimists’ I have no link to the author, publisher, etc.
1. Create the opportunity
2. Seize the opportunity
3. Maintain the momentum
4. Strive for the best possible result
5. Avoid unnecessary shortcuts
6. Stick to what works
7. Give up what doesn’t
8. Get back to basics
9. Improve self control
10. Make the correct decisions
11. Learn to thrive under pressure
12. Maximise you use of time

Got that off my chest ;) so Psycoff don't let the small minded minority put you off and good luck.

Great reply Stewart. In-play though i disagree because even if you can read whats happening, you cant read whats going to happen so in play is, i think, down to luck. All your of your other points are bang on with me and i say the same, good luck to you psychoff and to hell with foolish non believers

You know...I just think it's a real shame that people get slated when they are doing well....no wonder they have pulled the plug.
Everyone on here who is in profit must have an edge of some description...these guys in the 1 million challenge certainly had something...
The critics (non believers) said that they should explain and share their strategies...why should they?? I wouldn't nor would anyone else who had an edge..lets be honest. The problem is; once you explain it in the public domain...your edge is gone!
...and the irony is..the illustrations they included as part of their blog actually gave indications of what they were doing...Just recently I looked at each blog entry and when the incurred a red figure...(the secrets were in the red figs not the green figs)..and then compared what happened in the match...there were definite patterns. Its certainly given me some new ideas to try on the football markets.
It look like its not possible to view the older blog entries so its gone forever!..
Psychoff - Good luck...and for the info you did share - Thanks a Million!!

It's a shame, but it does seem that people position you as either an idiot or liar if you choose to blog nowadays. Even Leon's blog got trashed and he was the most impartial blogger of the lot!

Why bother engaging with people about starting a new challenge and then adding more time to it by offering advice/recommendations if it was already taking too much time.

Out of the blue they close it all the history is gone.

Let's wait and see if another super trader turns in the near future ;)

As with others, Psychoff did their own thing and we never solicited them to do anything for us. What they did and why is a question you will have to put to them.

Not sure if this is directed at my post. I never suggested you did.

As they may or may not be answering emails then it would be difficult to contact them anyway.

Just all very odd at the beginning of this year to increase time on their blog with recommendations and then to disappear without trace.

Trading is a lonely business, so maybe these guys post their blogs for a bit of human interaction, and to inspire other traders, rather than for any darker motive!

Thank you all. We are still very much active and continuing to monitor other websites and blogs. Our main aim continues to be improving ourselves and things have been going quite well with the extra time available after closing down the blog. We will definitely all come together again and share ideas and experiences someday.
