Football Markets with only two possible outcomes - Thoughts?

One of my trading techniques is to trade across many different and/or same football matches simultaneously.. However when trading markets which only have two possible outcomes i.e Over/Unders markets, next goal, sending off etc... There comes the personal dilemma of when opening a position whether to back the first selection or lay the opposing selection (Strategy rules depending).

I am of the opinion to back the selection first rather than to outgo a huger liability to win the same stake by laying. Attempting to preserve my flexibility in my bankroll for upcoming trades, the nature of Betfair market efficiency 'theoretically' that would mean the lay odds and back odds represent true/same value... most cases they do in high liquidity markets.

I guess it does come down to personal preference, trader skill and strategy but I just wonder if anyone shares the same opinion. If not then I may just have to jump on the Counter Intuitive Bandwagon
