I know we have the ability to switch the Virtual Cross Matching off in the settings menu..

At the risk of asking a stupid question..I just wanted to ask one of the support guys (if they are on line) if the algorithm used in Betangel has changed since you originally incorporated it in any way??

Thanks
regards
Peter

PS Doesn't cross matching only work between 1.01 and 100 anyway? What happens to back/lay above 100, how does betangel handle those?

We don't have to handle any of the prices as special cases. The algorithm just works through the money available at each of the prices on both sides of the book and calculates if additional virtual prices need to be inserted or whether extra virtual money needs to be added to existing prices.

I was just trading the 12:35 at Leicester...and I captured the image attached at race finish...

The top image is with XM on and the bottom with XM off....The horse is called Christopher Wren (CW)...

It can be seen that CW has some money sitting at 1.61 yet a full 4 seconds before the finish of the race I had a lay bet sitting well above that that wasn't taken? That doesn't seem right to me? How can it pass beyond the odds of my order?
Anyone have a view on it or put me straight on it? Have I misinterpreted it some way?
Thanks in advance
regards
Peter

Edit : I just chose this thread as it was related to Cross Matching, I'm not saying its Betangel that isn't displaying the figures correctly. I was just questioning the data coming back from betfair..

I had a similar query with Betfair once and show them some data but they said that if somebody else somewhere else in the book had an order in before yours then cross matching may match that one first. It's all a bit vague.

Yes its a bit strange..although I suppose it can work in our favour too as there have been times when I have been surprised to be matched!

If you look back through the forum search I am sure you will find one or more examples from 1year+ ago when this happened to me when using another vendors software.

I complained to BF and got a vague answer that didn't answer what I asked. It didn't happen often but I did note it a few times.

I never figured it out.

My understanding is that when the race is suspended at the end the only odds/money left is bets which have been "kept" I assume that the reason the other odds appear is just due to the cross matcher working off these bets.
