Can't install new version 1.23.1 !

Trying to install the new update and gets stuck unable to find the file "Bet....exe.config" (forgot the bit in the middle !).

Tried making/renaming an empty text file but that then does not (and cannot adjust settings to enable) write to file.

Also, the installer looks for this at first run and looks to find it in the same folder as the *.msi - should look in installation folder instead.

Running Win7 x64

BTW would be nice if *.msi files were digitally signed so user knows they are safe - looks a bit naff when software doesn't have a proper signature these days !

See if the previous version can be installed now :(

Exactly the same issue here

tho i have copied the config file from another PC installation on the old version and it did install

I've not seen a problem but if you can post up your OS type maybe there is a common link there?

Made it work ...

a) reinstalled previous version and used it for a bit
b) copied the *.msi to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bet Angel Limited\Bet Angel (BETDAQ)"
c) it just installed :)

It was previously complaining about permissions and finding the *.config file - Win7 locks down things much tighter - especially making Program Files etc read only.

Nightmare land but at least that workaround sorted it.

Any ideas what has changed - all appears the same and Help | About is showing version as 1.23.1 ??
