I never trust the reported going from the clerk of the course and today is no different. Unless we have just seen the return of Pegasus the going is Good - Good/Soft and NOT Soft as reported. I hand timed the first and it was only 2.7 seconds above standard. Admittedly that is not an accurate time but it's not so far out that it's actually soft ground.

The wind is drying the ground all the time so it will get faster.

Good news for Overturn supporters and a nice move on his price as soon as everyone saw the time.

Overturn is a good horse and has admirable battling qualities. I am worried about his jumping style, he seems to swivel mid-air which suggests a back issue. If they've sorted that issue then yes, on ratings he has a great chance.

I am not playing so I wish you well

The time for the first race was 3m55.6 which suggests it's definitely not soft using 4 minutes as the border for good/soft.
