Just watching some videos to learn about the "Lay the field" trading strategy. Do any of you use this strategy? Is it effective? I was hoping someone might be able to offer some advice?

What sort of races are good for the strategy? What should I be looking for? What are good numbers to use?

thanks

There are various "parameters" posted on the web. The rules I tend to stick with are:

Best courses for laying the field
Bath
Brighton
Carlisle
Cheltenham
Exeter
Hamilton
Leicester
Limerick
Newbury
Towcester
Uttoxeter
Wolverhampton
Stick to races 1m 5f and above.
At least 6 runners in a field and a maximum of 16.
If you see an extremely low priced favourite, you should avoid that race.
Set the odds to 2.0 if you expect to capture 2 runners, 3.0 for 4 runners, etc.

only bet on races under 1m 5f...
min 9 runners
low priced fav always lay.
if you set 2.0 to capture 2 etc and you succeed you will break even!!!! so you need to do better than that...
