You old timer you, that's a time that has long since past. Standing on the terraces, pie in hand smoke in face.

I think they clubs may as well do it as they have no soul now anyway.

i guess this kind of thing is now the end game for a sport that has become an entertainment commodity in the same way as a Broadway show.

there will probably even be gullible plebs that go there to support their team!

a price on everything and a value on nothing.

There seems to be some legitimacy concerns regarding the source of that Oliver Kay Times article, the source being a French parody site that has stated that everything in their article at least was completely fabricated. A lot of what was written in the times article mirrors that of the spoof site so it could be a case of lazy journalism from Ollie Kay.

Looks like the article has been pulled.

Quatar have denied it. Almost sounds like an April Fool's day joke

Noticed these tweets from Tony Evans, Editor of The Times.

In The Game tomorrow my column is this: an apology to readers. How we got the Qatar Dream League story so badly wrong.

As for @OliverKayTimes simple. He's a brilliant journalist and I have complete faith. If you've never made a mistake, cast the first tweet.

Tbf Ollie Kay's work is usually very good, guess everyone makes mistakes.
