Football Database
Hi all, I have finally got a few weeks of free time and I'm looking to put together a database for football. I am looking for fairly comprehensive stuff so I need descriptions of every match, the line-up that played, the time of the goals, the time of yellow cards, the time of red cards, times of penalties and anything I think might be useful. Unfortunately, most of the sites I've seen on the net only seem to offer full time results or ft/ht results which isn't really enough, so I'm turning to the wisdom of the BA community to help me. Does anyone here know where I might find the information in the level of detail I'm searching for?
you might find that certain sites can supply certain bits of info historically.
But this will be in differing formats and a nightmare to co-ordinate into your chosen desired input requirements and excel format.
tbh if you want a very comprehensive all encompassing database, including lineups, time of penalties and red cards, etc, I seriously would advise you start from now and record them yourself ongoing.

BBC web site offers similar, but I think the original quesions was more geared to whether this sort of information exists in a database somewhere. Nobody really seems to expose this is a downloadable format. Plenty of services use this information but nobody seems to expose it.
