UKIP are the only party not advocating reckless, delusional economic policies. they realise that tough decisions have to be made to rescue the country from debt oblivion. i hope to God they get a seat somewhere soon and become a viable alternative to the LibLabCon economic illiterates. You may remember the Canadian Reform Party. They were the populist, right-of-centre, small state, low tax, anglophone party that came from nowhere in 1993 to win 52 seats in Canada's federal parliament.

smart people! my landlord is moving to Australia this month and some other friends emigrated there last year.
there are an awful amount of good, successful people that have left, and are leaving, the UK (and they generally get replaced by undesirables, and then some!).
my new girlfriend is French (and is in the UK because it's so difficult to get on in socialist France) - it's gonna be short-lived though as i'm leaving London for a while. we should have limited immigration to people that add something positive to the country (diversity doesn't count imho!), and tried to keep the good people already here.

A heads up.
my brother moved to oz in 2006, after visiting many times and loving it.
he returned full time to the uk in 2011.
reasons.
1.everywhere is miles away from everywhere else in oz, so you get stale of the same places.(unlike our urban connurbations)
2.oz is miles away from anywhere else, so travel is difficult and expensive (unlike us having europe on the doorstep)
3.Missed the football
4.missed friends and family
5. too hot in summer to do anything (40centigrade)
and many more reasons....
6.immigration is a problem their now too, but nowhere near as bad as here.
i think many want out of the uk now, but you need to be very careful, canada would be my preferred option.
Ukip are getting closer and closer to a breakthrough, it wont be long because cameron/osbourne, miliband and clegg are all just politicians dancing on the head of the same pin, and many want a change and a real alternative, they just dont know how best to get it..
good luck

There have been rumours that Rupert Murdoch might be a fan of UKIP.
And after the big three parties all voted for press regulation, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the big papers started to support UKIP. And UKIP certainly have more in common with the traditional politics of the Sun, the Mail and the Express than Cameron's Tories ever will. The irony is that the paper whose values are closest to Cameron's is the Guardian, but most Guardian readers would rather apply a cheese grater to their nether regions than vote for Cameron!

Amazingly, even the BBC seem to be supporting UKIP, although they probably only do so because UKIP will help to prevent the Tories winning the next election!
