It seems each year (well two in a row that I can remember) the change tonight in Australia for daylight savings cannot be handled by betfair. All of the start times are out on the API by TWO hours the "wrong" way.
Guardian is therefore "all over the place".
Grrrr. When will betfair ever get this right?
So big warning if you have automation set off time triggers!!!
Daylight savings start time havoc
Yes, I got caught.
Setup my automation and headed to the SCG for the footy. Checked in every so often on the iPhone and things seemed to be fine, then mid afternoon it all went to shite.
When I got back home early evening it became apparent that the times had gone crazy..

Ok not daylight savings but woke up to check in on overnight profit and surprise surprise betfair does not recognise 2014 in the account date range.
Is betfair a listed multiple million dollar company?
PS what is its market cap? Maybe a few of us get together, take it private, fix it up and then refloat.

I had the same problem as Gazuty last night. It didn't recognize 2014 when I tried to look at the daily PL from the website. Seems to be working ok now.
I'd love to be the underwritergazuty wrote:Is betfair a listed multiple million dollar company?

Not working for me if the start date has a 14 in it. Tried to see how the bots were going today using "show the last 6 hours".
But then not really an issue as it is very rare for me to have a red day. Back to holidays.
Working if I use "from yesterday". You would think they could get it right.
Anyway, regardless of clock issues, bots had a great start to the year.

Per usual the guardian starting times (which come from the betfair api) have gone crazy.
Exercise extreme caution today.
(And for goodness sake, the time doesn't even change until 2 am tonight).
Just spend 10 minutes manually adjusting all the wrong times. So not the end of the world, but sheeez, you'd think they'd get it right (especially today). These kinds of things can end up costing one serious money. And this is on a day with five group 1's at Rosehill.

And once again p/l not working. Good old invalid dates. FFS you would think by now .... But I digress.gazuty wrote:Plus can't my p/l from the betfair website today - invalid dates. Seriously, you'd think they were a major listed business.
ok, not daylight savings - but BF are seriously "date and time" challenged. 2015 not working as a date in p/l yet. Well 2015 is already here (in Aus).
But yesterday, the p/l dates all had to be entered manually.
Not a huge deal, but not great value for my weekly pc donation.
