Yeah, behaved a lot more like his old self in that race so probably is the same guy.

Just goes to show the carnage rich people can cause when they're bored!

Noticed this flashing up on the front three runners at the same time, surely must be automated to an extent to make the spoofing figures appear at the same time in three queues.

Quite sure I saw somebody match the full £5k at one point and the spoofing stopped for the rest of the race

Haven't noticed it on any other race for the day so far. Looks like we alerted him/her ;)

Had an encounter with 4-5k blinking (i.e. it would flash on/off) money in the 4:45 Hcap Hrd at Sthl.

As it turns out it wasn't a good time to be brave and oppose it, it had a clear impact on the price and put me in my place.

His name is William, although unless you know him quit well, you would be best adrressing him as Mr Hill.
One tactic to use against Mr Hill, is positive thinking. You can take on that 5k (40k liability) with your £500 bank, just beleive, and your cup will runneth over...
bank size is irrelevant when you have positivity...

Happy days

Haitchless -

Forgive me, but you either misunderstand the nature of positive thinking or you're being obtuse.

Positive thinking doesn't have to involve self-delusion. It can simply be about looking at each situation and saying 'How can I make the most of this situation'?

BTW, you weren't formerly in this forum as Mister Man by any chance, were you?

I have a small bank, and I gotta protect my principal so I used small staked just to test if my thinking was right. Would love to hear from someone with a big bank/stakes if they've taken him/it in a similar situation.

Have you had a go at him/it before?

Has anyone actually had a bet matched on these flashing amounts?

I've noticed it a few times on Set Betting markets on the French Open Tennis. On a couple of occasions I tried hitting into it, but the figure disappeared, almost as if it was simply a software issue & the money wasn't actually there at all

On horse racing it has certainly been real and very matchable at times in the past. Of course it may not have been the same chap on tennis.... there has also been a 'copycat' spoofer in the racing markets that has arrived after the 'real' flasher has been active for a while in order to fool people... but certainly at times it has been real.
