Yes, and in theory Luiz Suarez could be awarded an OBE for services to cannibalism, but neither outcome is very likely... ;)

he lost the players, time was right to go.
if he had the players fighting for his cause he would still be in a job.

I think they're worried about financial fair play and realise that Mancini can only really do the business by spending hundreds of millions every year. Last summer Mancini was saying that they couldn't compete because they didn't go after Van Persie etc, despite having been gifted a billion by the sugar daddy sheik in the past. Now the club is talking about having a more 'holistic' approach, which I suppose is why they're after Pelligrini and have been working to change their scouting / youth system.

Did Pelgrini not spend 70 mil on ronaldo and 50+ on kaka or have I got the wrong manager?
Id have thought Bayern manager that will be getting pushed to one side for Pep would be a good choice if he hasnt been snapped up.

Pelligrini was in charge of Real when they bought Kaka and Ronaldo, but they were the President's signings. Before that he was at Villareal where he did an extroadinary job for 5 years on a tight budget. Whether he or Tixi Begiristain or someone else at City will be choosing the players I don't know.

I agree about Jupp Heynckes, but apparantly he'll be retiring
