Hello all,
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this, so if not, please move it where it should belong.
Anyway... I am curious about if we could have to instances of BetAngel running at the same time. Of course, it would be from 2 different installations on the same machine.
The reason behing it is because, as far as I know, BetAngel just lets us see one market at a time. I know we have Guardian, but that's not why I mean... I'd like to have the ladder view of one market with the ladder view of a different market AT THE SAME TIME. In fact being able to see and trade those two markets at the same time (useful for football matched where it's usually to have more than one played at once).
I do know about Betfair Data Request Charge, but I suppose that as long as I keep each instance refresh time to 500ms there should be no problem...
Is there any problem with that? I don't know if even BetAngel allows that in the first place, or if I can sign up with the same user twice, or if there's any reason Betfair prohibit this apart from the data request.
Thanks!
Can 2 instances of BetAngel be run at the same time?
Yes you can. Just be careful not to exceed betfair's charging limit of 20 data requests per second. Bet Angel has got a call limiter on the Settings page - to be safe set the value of 'Limit data requests from Betfair to x requests per second' to 9. That'll ensure the total requests for both instances won't exceed 18 and you'll still have a couple left for connecting to betfair via a web browser if required.

Oh ok, thank you very much for the tip!
So, as long as I have the limiter put to 9, it doesn't matther if the refresh rate is at 200ms?
I know it won't refresh at that rate with the call restriction, it is just in case I forget to change it... to be sure I'm not going to be affected by the data request charge. Am I right on that?
Thank you!
