help with automation rules

We were all new to Bet Angel once. Ask any question you like here and fellow forum members promise not to laugh. Betfair trading made simple.

Hi folks ,have only been using bet angel for a week now and find it to be a fantastic tool for trading ,I currently have a problem with an automated rule where I have it set up to trigger for backing at first backing at 1.5 for horse racing the problem i have is the first row selection for this as sometimes it will select the second favorite and back at the set fixed odds ,i hope someone out there can help a women in distress lol any and all help appeciated

If you wish to bet by favourite order then you can choose this in the selection criteria when creating your rule.

You can also add a rule to have Bet Angel fix the order once you start betting so even if the order changes you will continue to bet on the same runner.

thankyou very much for your speedy reply i really appreciate it at the moment i have /place back bet/relative to in-play /10seconds after until 12mins after/trigger 1/wait 1 /i row 1 betfair order.
best market price/fixed amount.
lixed odds condition /current in row 1 betfair order/last traded price is equal to 1.5
bascially i would like this to work so i can trigger a bet on the first horse to go to 1.5 i have stuggled my best through the info available to set this up ,but im really having a time of it as sometimes it wont trigger or sometimes it will take what seems the second favorite horse at that time im sorry for bothering you with this but any help you could provide to tweak this auto rule i would be really appreciative ,many thanks

Change betfair order to order of favouritism. Are you aware that the favourite can change in a split second though! Be careful you could trigger more than once and on different horses. Study the conditions and triggers more and try in practice mode before going with real money or you will get hurt.

thankyou for the info roger your very kind ,i was just wanting to ask you about with having the trigger set to go off once would that not stop it triggering again,if you have any suggestions that would help to secure the auto rule for me i would be very grateful as i think you get the idea of the rule im trying to set

or any modifications i could make to bet angel with refresh or communications that would help this work more effectively i have changed the /last trade to back bet/ cheers

I think you better watch some of the videos available on this site and read the manual as it aint as simple as you think it is. Once you have then try in practice mode! I am not being mean to you but you really need to study the automation settings more or it will be costly!

i totally get you roger and i will definately go back over the videos ,i support what your telling me and i really do appreciate the advice i just decided a couple of days ago that i would try and set up a rule by myself and see if it would work, an attempt lets call it lol ,definately an attempt but i guess i shall have to battle on with the knowledge part ,it has been fun and exciting to say the least and im alot happier knowing there is a forum to pass on any issues for a bit of feedback again many thanks
