Having restarted, am I correct in assuming you now haven't got the tennis markets in Guardian? And perhaps are now not using Guardian at all? If so, please let us know the memory usage at the end of your trading session.dmbusa wrote:After closing and restarting BA usage dropped back to 13% cpu and 150k memory but has started to creep up again. Apart from BA I have Betfair and Oddschecker open.
Bet Angel lagging as day goes on.
I tried using CCleaner earlier and cleaned the whole computer without effect after I started experiencing lag, at about 3pm after having started at 1.50. It usually takes this length of time for BA to become too slow and needs reloading.
I've not used Guardian today either. Having reloaded BA it is using roughly 10-15% of my CPU and 143MB of memory. Overall only 20% of CPU and 20% of memory is being used. Will come back with the same stats when I start experiencing lag again.

Another hour on and I'm restarting because can't trade around the lag.
My usage now is average 15% of CPU and around 300MB of memory. Still nowhere near the max my computer can use up so I'm not sure what the problem is, but restarting fixes every time.

We've run some memory tests with Bet Angel v1.33.0 this morning, trying to stress it and comparing it with an older version (v1.32.0). So far we've not seen the same pattern of excessive growth of memory usage or CPU load, but we'll keep an eye on it over the next few days. When monitoring memory usage, look at the 'Private Working Set' in Task Manager. That's the amount the application actually requires - other working set values tend to contain shared memory usage which can be a bit misleading.
If you are able to record a video of the lag then please send it to [email protected] as it'll help the investigation. Also a brief description of your PC (CPU, version of Windows, amount of RAM etc) would be helpful.
The increase in CPU requirements during the day is the most puzzling. Perhaps the PC hits the Physical Memory limits and wastes CPU swapping memory about. An selection of images from the Performance page of Task Manager thoroughout the day on your PC may help diagnose that.
Thanks

Just for the record, I also have this problem but assumed it was something to do with my internet connection. Only after seeing this post have I realised it may not be.
Have you seen this thread: -

Also if you have loads and loads of markets in Guardian it will be cycling and collecting data on all of them. So it will use up more memory as the day goes on unless you restrict the Guardian refresh. That could be a cause.

Yep, thanks for the info - have read that thread a few times now whilst hunting for a solution. As AmazingMisterX mentions, I have a feeling it is my internet connection that is the issue.
I trade AUS markets from NZ, and have a responsiveness counter of ~60ms. I get 27mb/7mb speeds, however running tracert shows packets time out on the way to hobart. Ping to hobart is ~57ms.
Am currently trying to change my internet (from unlimited to a metered plan) to hopefully get better priority/delivery. Its my last hope (as I have tried everything else)!
FYI - I did try out a (sydney) based VPS from web24.com.au however that connection was worse than my NZ one I have now - response counter bounced from ~80 to ~120 constantly)...
