This is just some of my knowledge about Beverley for the players on here who like in running.
In distances up to 1 mile you really need to have a low draw. Anything drawn in double figures will have their work cut out for them to win.
The course provides a finish which is on a turn with an uphill gradient too. This means horses forced wide must travel further and work harder.
On the longer races it can prove very advantageous for a front runner. This is because it allows them to grab the rail and travel shorter distances. The uphill finish does provide close finishes.
When the ground gets really soft they sometimes switch to the outer rail.
This layout means you can often lay the outside drawn horses and get plenty of opportunity to assess your position and trade out. You can also back front runners drawn well as once they hit the front they have a big advantage.
The finishes can be close so often a lay all below 2.0 works well.
Good luck, small stakes and enjoy. Please feel free to add other things or pass comment.

I was prompted to write this because I had laid Kingswinford at 4.3 in the 2:00 Beverley. He was drawn in 16 and he needs a flat track so at 4.3 he was no value. He is now a non-runner; there's a surprise!!

The first race was won by Thrust Control which virtually led from start to finish. Grabbed the rail and had a real advantage.

The 2nd race was won by Aryal who led from start to finish again!! I did say a front runner has an advantage at this track!

Well in the 3:10 it was a close finish but I missed the low prices. I am sure it must have offered a profit if you laid below 2.0
In the 3:40 there was a tight finish again and they went 1.01 1.33 and 1.5 which threw up a very nice profit!!
As you can see, the sprints offer the chances with finishes and the longer distances are great for front runners. Actually even in the sprints it is the front runners that do better than the come from behind runners if they can get to the rail. The winner in the 3:40 just held on but he ran green at the end and wandered badly.

4:20 Front runner Last Sovereign just failed to hang on for an all the way win. However it went 1.16 in running so yet another close finish in a sprint!

Thanks. My double vision and spinning head is so bad I can't see the horses let alone the finish.

Bump! Beverley today and the first race over 5F gave 4 runners below 1.65!!
JG We do listen!
I do owe you a pint sooner rather than later now!

PS This kind of ties in with the strategy post. If you can profile which courses, distances. trainers or whatever, are likely to produce these type of results it gives you a fighting chance

Nice result Peter that must be worth a pint and a ruby???
I was stood next to Peter at the time showing him the curve on the run in and how hard it was for the closers to pass the front runner!
We both agreed the prices had traded low but both of us were surprised to find they'd been pushed so low! I think the one went 1.27 and never won!!
PS How long did it take for your Labyrinthitis to pass?
