At the 20:40 race, the winner was disqualified and 10lenghts second fav. promoted as winner.
I was on lay with the fav. Betfair paid me out after the race, no stewards enquiry! Market was settled. and voila! they just stole my 601 euros 45 minutes after the race.
Is it really that simple? Mullins mafia bets too much on a horse and if it loses to an outsider, they find a rule to disqualify the horse?
I`ve seen many clashes , some of them were even Fatal as the horse which was hit, crashed to rails and lost by a lenght or two, but result never changed.
What the heck is this ? Really, somebody can explain if they have right to do this?

Not sure who you are referring to when ask do they have a right to do this?
But if you mean Betfair - they will settle on an amended result, though there is an unknown (to me) time limit on this.
Does anyone know the time limit?
There is a 12 (?) hour delay on withdrawals following the great Poker Job that was done on Betfair a few years back, so you can't run off with your money as they can block the withdrawal these days.
I don't think they would amend the payout where a horse is disqualified several year later for example.

Betfair settled before the Stewards Inquiry was called, I think they cover it in the 2nd point of 2.1 giving 24 hours in the event of an amendment being announced. http://www.betfair.com/aboutUs/Rules.and.Regulations/
I had this happen , i bet on Demetrious mighty mouse Johnson to beat Ian Mccall in the ufc. he won on points and as it was Australia i used the Aussie wallet , transferred the winnings to the main wallet then a couple of days later noticed my Aussie wallet was showing a minus because the result was amended to a draw so the time limit must be at least 24 hrs if not more.

If you are gambling big money, it's always worth to set a clousure at 1.01 1,10 if you have backed the horse. 100, 1000 if you layed the horse.
One day I have found my account with more money ( £43 extra at the end of the day) as a result was changed, since then I always close my bets in play.
