I currently trade automatically using Excel. I am, however, restricted by the time of each race. I start monitoring each race 8 mins before the start but if the next race starts within 5 minutes, it will load up and my last race position is lost. If I was in a trade, then i would not be able to close the position. I don't want to use the multi excel sheet method due to timings on refresh.

Is there a method of stopping the guardian from loading the next race.. or a way of detecting that the guardian is about to load up the next race and exit my trade BEFORE it loads up.

Have you got the Automatically switch Bet Angel market clicked on guardian?

If so you can either unclick it or change the market switch time.

You can set an automation rule in Guardian to close and green for example 30 sec to event off - So you can use the excel interface to open the trade and leave the race to move onto the next knowing that the trade will close and green an 30 sec to off -But be careful with this tool as you need to set that Guardian starts to monitor event say 300 sec to off and stops at say 1 sec to off as the more races being covered by Guardian auromation rules at the same time will slow its reaction time

Hi sorry to reply twice - But I find that once a race is switched to by Guardian it will stay with that race till event start so I assume like me you would like to be able to set Guardian to switch at 8 min to event start even if the current race is still 3 min to event start

Hey, that sounds really just what i need, setting a rule in automation to green up while excel gets on with another race. It only happens rarely, when one race is say 2.15 start and the next is 2.20. The 2.15 loads up in excel at 2.07 maybe finds a trade at 2.10 then the 2.20 kicks in at 2.12 leaving me with a trade I cant close as my excel trader is fully automatic and I don't always monitor it. I lost £150 one week as I lay first..Got on a trade and the next race kicked in and I was left with an open trade..and wouldn't you know it.. it went on to win. Since then I have been making sure all the races are at least 10 mins apart and dumping the ones that aren't. I am worried though, that a race may be delayed and the same thing could happen.
