hey!

I created my bot like the video greybot. i trade until 30 sec before the race starts - the last 30sec i made a greenout - trigger 6times every 5 sec -
f.i.: i have an matched back bet which should green out. the bot sometimes does the green out and immediatly shot another lay bet. so there is no green out anymore - i go with an lay bet into the race. again - the green out works but after done that it does the same once again... i tried to trigger just one time, make every 10sec a new grenn out, which solved the problem a few times, but not always.
the most of the races it works fine but about every 10 times it makes a double lay....

any ideas?

thanks

I am going to presume you are using Guardian automation rather than Excel - is that right?

- Check your conditions firstly. Make sure they are set correctly.
- Check your trigger active times. Make your green up rule active only when the bet placement rule has completed.
- Check your Guardian refresh cycle. If you have several markets in Guardian remember that Guardian can only update each market once per cycle and allow for this.
- Fire the green up rule a few times with a couple of seconds gap. This is a good safeguard in case the first one doesn't work.

Thanks! I think the guardian refreh circle was the problem. One more question - when i start the whole horseracecard - at the end of the day most of the markets are suspended - does guardian still circle thru the suspended markets? Or only the active markets?

Thanks

It depends. It will not cycle through closed markets - that is those that have been removed from the exchange. These may still show up as 'Suspended' in Guardian.

But some markets showing 'suspended' may be suspended temporarily. Such as when turning a race in-play or steward's enquiry or photo-finish or if a goal has been scored in football and so on.

These markets will still be part of the cycle until they are closed and removed by Betfair or Betdaq.

You can also select to restrict the refresh cycle by choosing the option within Guardian. For example, you can set to only scan markets five mins before and after the start time but to ignore outside this window.
