Can anyone explain why all of a sudden my resposiveness of calls to betfair are now going sticky and slow. they are normally in the 30's, but are now spiking to the hundreds and going extremely slow? any help greatly appreciated!

Do you mean 30ms?
Which mode are you logged in? Try mode 1 (non API) or Mode 13

Maybe something else is hogging the bandwidth? Windows update, another machine somewhere?
