Thinking of trying a new idea, The idea is trying to pick odds that over the long run would break even, the idea is to green out if the the price drops which gives me a profit and if the price doesn't drop go for the bet, would like to hear your views on this idea.

It is the starting price that breaks even over the long run (minus commission). So any discrepancy between the price taken pre-off and the SP will, over the long run, persist. By allowing losing trades to go in-play you will lose, on average and in the long run, exactly the same as you would have if you had redded up at the off. But - and this is very important - your P&L will be much spikier and you run the risk that a short run of bad trades will wipe out your bank.
