I'm suffering from intermittent lockups or freezing. They seem to be occurring when i place bets or say i have a bet in with an offset and it then can stops when placing the offset bet. I have batches set at 200.
At the moment the market on which im working is the Test match i have had about 3000 trades. Has anybody else suffered performance loss when the have thousand of bets in a market?
I have check my connection settings, also i have just switched to a racing market and everything was fine.
I have checked the CPU usage and that is not an issue.
My computer has an Intel i7 processor and 8 gigs of ram.

Further information
This morning im still suffering the same problem as yesterday. Bet Angel is responding very slow.
As another test i have just logged out and gone in on practice mode. As a test what i have tried is inputting 50 bets on the ladder, The first bet is placed and once the bet either shows on the ladder or i hear the beep of a bet going in i then place the next bet. When i tried this on "live mode" it took roughly 37 seconds and when i did the same test on "practice mode" it was in the region of about 21 seconds. I used the same settings for "view" and "Bet Placement" settings.
Also once all the bets have been placed if i click in the total bet amount in ladder to cancel this does not take effect unless i cancel the bets individually until there are only about 35 bets at that 1 price

I reckon its to do with the significant number of matched bets you have. Bet Angel has to poll Betfair and read all that information. Are you still referring to the test match cricket?

Can you detail the communications settings you have, one of us may be able help improve the performance using that info.

On those settings you have unmatched and matches bets set at 200ms, so it's trying to get information on those 3000 bets five times a second, the connection tuner is timing out the call to do that before it gets the chance.

So I would play with the tuner pushing to the right as much as possible and increasing the matched bet call to a longer period.

Basically I reckon the data isn't coming back fast enough from Betfair before Bet Angel calls again.

You can change and save it to a different profile 'Cricket' or something. That way you can switch settings for cricket and other trading.

Going on what you said about the data coming back slowly from betfair i would of thought that if i reduce the calls as much as possible on less important parameters say Traded Volume or Full Market depth this might give me improve performance.
So i'll give that a go and see how i get on.
Thanks for your help this morning it that.
